ARFID Virtual Consultation with a RD
Specialized ARFID nutrition consultation for providers
Service Description
This consultation is designed for clinicians who are currently working with individuals with Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID) or who want to deepen their understanding of ARFID-informed nutrition care. Sessions provide practical, evidence-based guidance to help you confidently assess, support, and collaborate in ARFID treatment without relying on pressure-based or exposure-only approaches. Consultations may include case conceptualization, nutrition assessment considerations, meal structure and adequacy, weight and growth support, sensory and fear-based eating patterns, and navigating common clinical challenges such as low appetite, limited variety, medical comorbidities, and family dynamics. Emphasis is placed on developmentally appropriate, trauma-informed, and neurodiversity-affirming care. Whether you’re a therapist, physician, dietitian, or allied provider, these consults are collaborative and tailored to your setting and experience level. The goal is to help you feel more confident, aligned, and supported in providing ethical, compassionate, and effective care for individuals with ARFID.
